Being at your best when your best is needed

Being at your best when your best is needed  – well that sounds so awesome and we all want to do it, all the times, just that it will not happen with us so easily.

Why doesn’t it happen so easily ? Because we are not best when the best is needed. When it is needed to do best productive work, we think of clearing the exam, or winning a shot instead of being best at that moment. And when we get bad results, the best we should do is to be poised and we don’t do our best at this moment either!

Interesting discussion would be, why should we be poised when the result is bad? Isn’t it OK to be sad and gush our emotions out (may be privately) ? Well, that will be a tough one to think upon, but , what mostly we will be sad about or what we will show our emotions upon is the result : How could it happen ? How can I/we lose ? They all pertain to the result. The better questions should have been : What went wrong ? Did I give the best ? These questions do come, but only after we are poised !

The same holds true when we win/succeed. We first give emotional importance to the accolades and happy tears. But once we are poised, we get to the best feeling that we were able to give the best when the best is needed, at the preparation time or when the implementation is required.

“Success is the inner peace which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you made the effort to become the best of which you are capable of“.

I will be successful each day that i give the best worth of my time, each day i can study for my exam, each day that i can spend time with my loved ones, each day when i can play the best tennis for the length of the play, each day i make a blog post,  each day i do my office work, each day when i can learn something new, each day when i can teach something new to others, and each day when i can balance myself to do all these, to do all i wanted to do !

I will be a failure each minute when i cannot do the best which i am capable of.

Aristotle said : “We are what we repeatedly do!”  I hope you all got the point here. Repeat success. Each day. There are no other big things to achieve. Mother Teresa said : “There are no big things. Only little things done with love!”

So then, how about competition? This question comes for sure because, you might be very balanced and giving the best, so can be others.

“Others may be faster than you are , larger than you are , have far more ability than you have  – but no one should ever be your  superior  in team spirit, fight , determination, ambition and character ” – John Wooden.

For those of you who are searching for something big to do in life , there is nothing big. For those of you who are searching for success, Its there all day. For those of you who are sad that I didn’t clear my exam , I am poised.

For those of you who are in doubt eternally and thinking, you are to find the inner peace, let it all go. For those of who do not like this,  you may still love it.

When it’s all over, I want your heads up. And there is only one way for your heads can be up – that’s to give it your best out there. Everything you have.

I am a success, everyday I give the best and I am a failure the day I do not. It is needed to be at your best, every single moment !

It’s what you learn after you know it all, that counts.
