 LONG-TERM USERS

Another reason why it might not be working is when you’ve become kind of immune to your dosage volume. Long-term users might have built up a strong immune against the smart drug. Even if it has worked wonders in the past, it might not have the same focusing effects after a few months like it had in the beginning. Your tolerance levels are completely messed up and you need to move back a bit.  Make sure to cut back and reset your tolerance levels.

It might also be that another drug you are taking clashes with the effects Modafinil should have in your neurotransmitters. If you are on other medications, such as Inderal or Propranolol, Modafinil’s purpose might be jeopardized.

What Can You Do?

A QUICK TEST

After using Modafinil for more than a week without any results you can do a quick test. A quick test to make sure you are unresponsive to the drug, is to have a good night’s rest of 6-7 hours undisturbed sleep.

Take a 200mg tablet with water immediately after waking up. Don’t eat or drink anything else. Go back to bed after swallowing the pill and try to fall asleep. See whether you wake up within 1-2 hours. If you don’t wake up, then you might not be responsive to the drug and have to consult your doctor.

FOR LONG-TERM USERS

For long-term users who have become immune to the drug’s effects there are a few things you can do. Firstly, stop using Modafinil for a few weeks or even a month. Try to decrease the amount of times you take the smart drug, only using it once or thrice a week.

Lessen your dosage, some long-term users pop a 400-500mg tablet. This is by far a too high dosage taken on a regular basis. Rather take 200-300mg at a time.

Evidently, to make modafinil more effective you should firstly make sure that you are us taking the right dosage. Consult your doctor if at first the dosage amount doesn’t work for you. After adjusting your mg intake, and you still don’t feel any effects, then you can ask your doctor for an alternative that might work better with your body’s response.

No matter the reason for an individual using Modafinil, it’s extremely unlikely that it won’t work. In the rare cases that it doesn’t, you can refer to the above information for guidance.

As long as you maintain a healthy lifestyle and follow the exact dosage prescriptions from your doctor, then it should achieve what you want it to.
