5 Inexpensive Event Design Ideas to Wow Your Attendees

It doesn’t matter if you’re looking for the best wedding décor or the right theme for the office Christmas party, you need to impress those attending and that can be easier said than done.

However, that doesn’t mean it’s impossible! You simply need to take a little time to come up with the very best ideas. With a little forethought, you can make the jaws drop as soon as they enter the room, and they’ll stay on the floor!

Check out these 5 ideas and maze yourself at just how amazing your event can be:

  1. Create The Space

There are two things that matter when you arrive at an event, the layout of the room and the space that hits you straight away.

It’s highly likely that the standard layout of your venue is optimized for fitting people in and not for creating the wow factor. Look at ways you can reorganize the tables etc. You’re after a large space with a feature in the center that draws the eye.

The feature could be banners or your wedding cake. Use lights, ideally fairy lights, to light the way to the tables and the main feature. You can decide whether they are colored or not. Use tables and chairs covers that could blend well with the lights.

  1. Change the Seats

If you’re having a formal dinner then you need formal chairs to go with the table. However, once the eating is finished it’s time to mix it up a little. Remove the formal chairs and add in some beanbags and other, more comfortable, seating choices. This should be created to encourage small groups of conversation across the room.

Just make sure you leave some space for dancing.

  1. Display the Food

When laying out food for a buffet doesn’t mean simply laying it across the table. Use the vertical space as well, create towers of food, plates on different levels, and even create sculptures or two from food.

The food will be much more interesting and people are much more likely to remember it, even if their latest fad diet doesn’t let them eat it!

  1. Get Local Artwork

A great way to add some culture to your event is to use local artists. You may need to pay a small fee to borrow the art but, you could also offer it for sale and give the artist the money. In return, they’ll probably let you display it for free, which is a real bonus!

If art really isn’t an option you can always make collages with photos of the event’s main characters. These can be placed across the walls and tell their own stories.

  1. Make It Natural

Flowers are traditionally used at events but they are not the only thing nature has to offer. You can use small trees, branches, or even pots of wildflowers grown for the special day.

Nature can wow any visitor, you just need to decide the best way of weaving it into your event celebrations. Don’t forget, you’re planning the event, it’s what you think is best that matters.
