5 Drinks to Serve at Your Next Party

Choosing the right drinks for your party will impress your guests and take your party to the next level. Whether you’re throwing a small get together for friends or trying to figure out what to serve on the big day at your wedding venue, the right drinks can turn your party into a memorable occasion.

Champagne daiquiri

To start, make a champagne syrup by combining one cup of flat, dry champagne with one cup of granulated sugar. Heat the mixture and stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. Let the mixture cool and store in the fridge while not in use. For each cocktail, combine 2 oz. white rum, ¾ oz. fresh lime juice, and ¾ oz. champagne syrup in a shaker with ice. Strain and garnish with a lime peel.

Strawberry basil margarita

First, empty 12 oz. of limeade concentrate into a pitcher. Next, add 30 oz. of water and 18 oz. of tequila (or a bit less, if you want drinks that are less strong). Hull 10 strawberries and add to the pitcher. Crumble the basil with your hands and add to the pitcher. Place the pitcher, covered, in the fridge overnight.

Apple cider and rum punch

Combine one cup rum, one cup vermouth, ¼ cup simple syrup, and four  dashes bitters in a large pitcher. Next, add two cups of ice and stir until the ice has mostly melted. Stir in apple slices and orange zest and store in fridge.

Pear vanilla coconut cooler

Combine 4 oz. pear juice, 3 oz. coconut vodka, 1 tbsp. vanilla extract, and a splash of coconut milk in a shaker and shake to combine. Combine coconut flakes and sugar for the rim, then dip the edge of each glass in water to coat. Pour the drink over ice and top with a splash of club soda. To make the drink non-alcoholic, all you have to do is leave out the vodka.

Irish cream

Pulse 2 cups of half-and-half, 1 can dulce de leche, 1 cup irish whiskey, ¼ cup chocolate syrup, and 2 tsp. vanilla extract in a blender until smooth. Stir 1-2 tbsp. Into a mug of hot coffee, or pour coffee and cream over ice.

Make sure to stop at the liquor store and local supermarket beforehand to get all of the needed ingredients and accessories like bottle openers, strainers, mixers, napkins, and glassware. There ain’t no party like a party that was planned for well in advance.
