Step-01:

For dry brush the skin, first of all, you need a good brush. One is enough, but you may get 2 brushes for easier task. Choose a soft and smooth brush.

Start brushing from your feet first and rise up step by step. I usually brush the bottom skin of my feet first and then the legs. I brush each skin section around 10 times typically.

Note: Don’t brush too hard. Brush your skin very gently and smoothly.

Step-03:

After the lower side of the body, brush your hands, belly, chest and shoulders slowly.  You may skip belly and chest.

Note: Always brush on your dry skin. This is the reason why it’s called dry brushing. Don’t use wet brush or brush on wet skin.

Step-04:

Now brush your torso in the upward direction and back toward the heart. After then, brush the stomach in the clockwise direction. Finally, brush your neck downward and toward your collar bones.

Note: Don’t Brush stroke away from the heart. It may put an extra pressure on the heart’s valves within the lymph vessels and veins.

Step-05:

When Should I Do Dry Brushing?

Well, dry brushing is a home-method. It means you can do it in your home and by yourself. You don’t need any expensive spa center to apply it. And the most important thing is you can do it anytime by spending just around 10 minutes. But I prefer to make it before my bath and this is the best time for dry brushing.

How to Choose Brush:

You may find a lot of brushes for your skin on the market or online. You may choose whichever you like most. All of them are made for the purpose only, so they are usually same. But here is a point; you must own the quality brush for better result. Pick a soft and user-friendly brush for your lovely skin.

It’s better to choose a brush with long handle and all natural bristles. Long handle lets you to reach all parts of the body easily. However, some brushes come with a detachable handle so that you can brush your leg or feet more easily. Do not choose a brush that has easily fall-offing handle. It basically disturbs a lot while brushing.

How to Take Care of the Brush:

To take care of your brush, follow some tips-

  1. Don’t share your brush with others, everyone should have separate brush.
  2. Keep the brush away from moisture, better to keep in a dry place.
  3. Wash the brush with water and mild soap once a week and dry it in sun.
  4. Do not use the brush for other purposes.
